Space
Space is the spirit of architecture and also supreme aesthetic adventure.
The Art of Defining Boundaries
Space, its boundaries and proportions are built to suit human purpose, but site, light and cadence impact hugely on how it actually feels. This was well understood in classical architecture.
Our path through a space, or from one space to another, creates a unique architectural experience. This is reinforced with vistas to natural surroundings, other focal points or changes in level.
