Light
Light is the ultimate determinant in design.
Light and Shadow,
the Soul of Space
Light and shadow give life to architecture. As light falls upon different forms and materials, it modifies the mood of the environment. This varies with sun angle, reflection, light diffusion and illumination with artificial lights.
Good architecture is sensitive to the natural light of a region and its climate.
